Calvary greetings to you all in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Welcome to the month of September 2026!!!!!
We bless the name of the Lord for His faithfulness, mercy, and the dimensions of His grace that have sustained us from the beginning of this year. We are grateful for all He has done in our midst and for every revelation that has brought us deeper into His purpose. Last month, through “The Fire of God,” we were reminded that His presence does not merely visit a life; it purifies, refines, empowers, and prepares a vessel for divine assignment. My prayer is that the fire we have encountered will continue to produce a deeper consecration, stronger faith, and greater capacity for Kingdom service, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
But what is the Holy Spirit saying to us for the month of September 2026?
As we enter September, the Lord is bringing us into another dimension of spiritual formation. There is a place where God does not only change what surrounds us but transforms what is within us. He does not merely desire our hands for service; He desires our hearts, our desires, our perspectives, and the very pattern of our thinking.
The quality of our walk with God is greatly influenced by the perspective from which we see Him, ourselves, and the world around us. A renewed spirit requires a renewed perspective. Therefore, after encountering the Fire, we must allow the Holy Spirit to reshape our inner world until our thoughts increasingly reflect the thoughts of Christ. The Christian life is ultimately a journey of becoming more like Christ. We cannot consistently live the life of Christ while being governed by a mindset that is contrary to Christ. Therefore, beyond carrying His presence, we are called to carry His mind.
From 1 Corinthians 2:16, we know that the believer has not been left to navigate life solely through human intelligence or natural reasoning. Through the Holy Spirit, we have been granted access to the wisdom and perspective of Christ. To have the Mind of Christ is to possess a spiritual framework through which we can perceive God’s purposes, discern His workings, recognise His leading, and respond to life’s circumstances in a manner consistent with His nature.
It means moving beyond “What do I want?” to “What does God desire?”
Beyond “What do I see?” to “What is God saying?”
Beyond “What is possible?” to “What has God purposed?”
Furthermore, our second anchor scriptures, Philippians 2:5–11, gives us the clearest expression of this mindset: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
Paul presents Christ as the ultimate pattern—not merely in what He accomplished, but in how He lived. Though He possessed divine status, He embraced humility. Though He deserved honour, He chose servanthood. Though obedience demanded sacrifice, He submitted Himself completely to the Father’s will.
This reveals that the Mind of Christ is not simply intellectual knowledge about Jesus. It is the inward posture that produces a Christ-centred life. It affects our ambitions, priorities, relationships, reactions, decisions, and willingness to surrender to God’s purposes.
As a people, we must therefore understand that:
- The Mind of Christ opens our understanding to spiritual realities that cannot be fully apprehended through natural wisdom. – 1 Corinthians 2:12–16.
- A transformed life begins with a transformed mind, as God’s Word reshapes our values, perspectives, and patterns of thought. – Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23.
- Christlike thinking produces genuine humility, enabling us to value others above selfish ambition and position. – Philippians 2:3–5.
- The Mind of Christ strengthens us to choose obedience over convenience and God’s purpose over personal preference. – Philippians 2:8; John 6:38.
- A Christ-governed mind gives us the grace to interpret circumstances through faith rather than fear and eternal purpose rather than temporary realities. – Colossians 3:1–2; 2 Corinthians 4:18.
Beloved, the mind is the battlefield of life and the battle for the direction of a life often begins in the mind. What occupies our thoughts eventually influences our choices, and our choices shape our conduct and destiny. This is why Scripture instructs us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5.
God is raising a people whose minds are no longer dominated by the patterns of this age. He is calling us into a higher way of seeing, reasoning, responding, and living. We must become so saturated with His Word that His truth becomes the framework through which we interpret our experiences.
The Mind of Christ teaches us to remain humble when we are elevated, faithful when we are overlooked, peaceful when circumstances are uncertain, and obedient when God’s instructions stretch us beyond our comfort.
It teaches us to pursue purpose over applause, obedience over convenience, service over status, and eternal significance over temporary recognition.
Therefore, the prophetic theme for the month of September 2026 is:
‘THE MIND OF CHRIST’
– 1 Corinthians 2:16; Philippians 2: 5-11
This month, allow the Holy Spirit to examine the thoughts you have permitted to govern your life. Surrender old perspectives that have kept you beneath God’s possibilities. Let His Word challenge assumptions, heal distorted perceptions, and establish new patterns of thinking.
We have carried the fire; now let the fire transform our thinking.
Let our minds become a dwelling place for truth. Let our decisions reflect divine wisdom. Let our ambitions submit to God’s purpose. Let our relationships carry the humility of Christ. Let our responses reveal His character.
And as our thinking is transformed, may our lives become increasingly conformed to the image of the One whose mind we carry.
May September mark a profound transformation in the way you think, see, discern, and live—until Christ is not only the One you follow, but His mind becomes the pattern by which you live.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Remain ever blessed.
