Welcome to the month of October 2026, Your month of Double Grace!!!!!
We bless the name of the Lord for His faithfulness, sustaining grace, and the wealth of revelation He has continued to unveil to us throughout this year. We are grateful for every encounter, every instruction, and every truth that has drawn us closer to His purpose. Through last month’s focus, “The Mind of Christ,” we were reminded that the Christian life is not merely about knowing Christ but allowing His thoughts, values, desires, and nature to shape the way we live. My prayer is that the understanding we have received will continue to produce transformed lives and deeper conformity to Christ, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
But what is the Holy Spirit saying to us for the month of October 2026?
As we enter the month of October, the Lord is calling us beyond information about Him into a deeper dimension of knowing Him personally. There is a difference between hearing about God, knowing about God, and actually experiencing God. Christianity was never designed to be a distant relationship with a God we only read about; it is an invitation into fellowship with the living God.
Our first anchor scriptures, Acts 17:28, reveals the depth of our dependence on God. He is not merely present around us; our very existence is sustained in Him. Our lives, movements, abilities, opportunities, and spiritual journey find their true meaning in our relationship with Him.
To experience God is therefore to become increasingly conscious of His presence, recognise His workings, respond to His voice, and allow His reality to become tangible in our everyday lives.
Similarly, our second anchor scriptures, Philippians 3:10, captures the cry of the Apostle Paul. He was not satisfied with what he had already known about Christ. Despite his remarkable spiritual experiences and accomplishments, his greatest pursuit remained knowing Christ more deeply.
This shows us that spiritual maturity is not measured merely by how much scripture we can quote, how long we have been saved, or how much we know about God. There must be a continual hunger for deeper encounters, deeper fellowship, deeper revelation, and deeper conformity to Christ.
Experiencing God is not simply about seeking supernatural manifestations. It is about knowing Him so intimately that His presence influences our decisions, His Word governs our conduct, His power strengthens our weaknesses, and His nature becomes increasingly evident through our lives.
As a church family, we must therefore understand that:
- Experiencing God begins with genuine fellowship with Him, because intimacy creates the environment for divine revelation and transformation. – Jeremiah 29:13; James 4:8.
- God desires to reveal Himself to those who earnestly seek Him, making spiritual hunger a pathway to deeper encounters with His presence. – Matthew 5:6; Psalm 42:1-2.
- Experiencing God requires more than knowledge of His acts; we are called to know His ways, His character, and His heart. – Psalm 103:7; Exodus 33:13
- Every genuine encounter with God should produce transformation, because no one truly encounters His presence and remains exactly the same. – 2 Corinthians 3:18; Isaiah 6:1-8.
- The knowledge of God grows through His Word, prayer, obedience, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. – John 14:26; John 15:7; 2 Corinthians 13:14.
Church, God is not looking for people who merely know about Him; He desires people who know Him. There is a dimension of Christianity that cannot be fully communicated through another person’s testimony. What God has done for someone else can inspire your faith, but there is an encounter that must become your own experience of God.
Moses did not merely hear that God could deliver Israel; he encountered Him at the burning bush. Isaiah did not merely hear about God’s holiness; he encountered the Lord and was transformed by the experience. Paul did not remain satisfied with what he knew about Christ; he pursued a deeper knowledge of Him.
There comes a point in every believer’s journey when information must become revelation, revelation must become experience, and experience must produce transformation. Yet, we must also understand that experiencing God is not always about spectacular moments. Sometimes, He is experienced in the quiet assurance that sustains us, the wisdom that comes when there seems to be no way forward, the strength to obey when obedience is difficult, and the peace that remains when circumstances have not changed.
The more we know Him, the more we recognise Him. The more we walk with Him, the more sensitive we become to His presence. And the more we encounter Him, the more our lives become evidence of His reality.
Therefore, the prophetic theme for the month of October 2026 is:
‘EXPERIENCING GOD’
– Acts 17:28; Philippians 3: 10
This month, let your pursuit of God become intentional. Do not be satisfied with yesterday’s encounter. Do not build your entire faith around the testimony of another person. Seek God for yourself. Create room for prayer, worship, the Word, obedience, and the quiet moments in which your heart can recognise His voice.
Experience His presence in your worship. Experience His wisdom in your decisions. Experience His strength in your weakness. Experience His peace in your uncertainty. Experience His power in your impossibilities. Experience His transforming grace in your walk with Him.
May October become a month of divine encounters, deeper fellowship, fresh revelation, and unmistakable experiences of the living God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Remain ever blessed.
